LOOKING FINE FOR "79

As we begin another semester at UPEI, we are faced with the loss of our editor and long— time student, Gerald MCKenna. This must.be th the first semester in 7 or 8 years that Gerald is not registered. we trust his successor will do a more than adequate job.

As for the Business Society we begin our second term as decision makers for the Business students and we hope that each and every student will continue to show interest if they already haven't. It was quite evident in the first semester just which students Were KEEN and showed some form of dedication to the UPEI business program because the same students attended all events, both social and academic. we will try to hold their attention this semester and capture the interest of the remaining students.

It was very nice to start receiving a form of . feedback from the students as a number of 3rd year students expressed their dissatisfaction over the

exam schedule, 2nd year students over the so— called "weeding out" :rooess in the Business program, and 4th year stJPents on the events thrc about the semester in policy. Each of these areas were discussed ’ with various professors

and we hope that satisfac— tory results will take place .

The students will soon be approached by a member of the Business Society and the purpose will be‘ to try and sell a very nice shirt which will have either an emblem of the Business Society or just have the words ' written on the shirt.

The product is top quality and the buyer will be receiving a good deal. FUIther details will be communicated as time mcwes on. Also a

top priority of our group will be to organize a successful business person dinner in mid-February.

In the past, a great number of downtown people as well as Our own students have shown interest and it is hoped that this support will—continue.

The Business Society will be holding its first party in the near future ' and hopefully the business students will get together and have a good time. Any suggestions as to enter— tainment will be welcomed.

I think that I will probably discontinue my discussions concerning the remaining faculties on campus because they seem to be a little hesitant to reply.

Shelly Pepler, Junior: It's good but a waste of money. The students would go whether its decorated or not. The liquor license is good but they went a little

overboard on the furniture, since it is our money that

being spent.

It's a good idea. Nice

lounge, roomy and pleasant

to be there. It's much better than befbre. The

hard liquor license makes

it available fbr people who don't like to drink

RADAR (SENIOR) Decorations are very good, sturdy chairs and tables that will last. Liquor license is a good idea as some people like hard liquor instead of beer.

Ronnie McKenzie, Junior: A nice place to go and talk with friends. It’s a lot better than last year. You can sit there now with ease and comfort and you couldn’t do that last year.
