Fixed Light—o—n East Point.

HE Government of Prince Edward Island has given Notice,

that on and after the 10th day ofJULY, 1867, a light will be exhibited from a Lighthouse recently erected on East Point, Prince Edward Island.

The light will be afired white light, at an elevation of 130 feet above the level of high water, and in clear weather should be seen at a distance of IS miles.

The tower is octagonal, white, 60 feet high from base to vane, and stands ‘200 yards in shore from the south side of the point, and in lat. 46 ° '27’ 9” N., long. 6] ° 58’ 15” \Vest of Greenwich.

HEREAS His Worship the Mayor of the City of Charlotte

town hath, on account of the recent tires which have taken place in this City, and which are supposed. to be. the work of Incendiaries, expressed to me his apprehension of impendng danger from Incendiarism to this City, and" his desire that a suit. able reward be offered for the detection and punishment of any person or persons who shall hereafter be guilty of any act or acts of Incendiarism: I have thought fit, by and with the advice and consent of Her Majesty’s Council, to proclaim, and I do hereby proclaim and offer a Reward of ONE HUNDRED PO UNDS- to any person or persons (not the actual party to the act) who will give such information and evidence as will lead to the dis- covery, apprehension and conviction ofany person or persons who shall hereafter be guilty of any act or acts of Incendiarism.

HIS Excellency the Lieutenant Governor in Council was this day pleased to fix and determine the rate at which the amount of the Invoice of Dutiable Goods, imported into this Island from the United States of America, shall, in estimating the duties pally/able thereon, be reduced into current money of the Island, as o ows:-—-

In all cases where such Invoices shall be made out in Dollars and Cents of the paper currency of the United States, the amount ot~ such Invoice shall be reduced into current money of this Island, by allowing for each Dollar the sum ofl’OUR SIIILLINGS AND SIX-I’ENCE, and in the like proportion for any fraction of 3 Del- lar; of which all Collectors of Impost are to take notice and govern
