Hostesses for the occasion were MTB. H. J. MacKinnon and Miss Mae Macxinnon. Little Miss Hea- ther Orford assisted in serving.

Address and Presentation

The residents of Wimloo and vicinity gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Turner on Thursday evening. August 21th to honor their son Freddy. and his bride the former Miss Jean Don- nld, of Alma, P.E.I.

Mr. Heber Hardy celled the gathering to order, and after welcoming Mrs. Turner to the dis- trict told a humorous story con- cerning the "l"orgetful Groom". He then called upon Mr. Russell Diamond in read the address. Mr. and Mrs. Turner were escorted to seats of honor by Mrs. Dan Cola: and Mr. Heath Cruwell. Mr. Earle Rodd then rnsdo a presentation of A well filled purse, and other beautiful miscellaneous gifts were received.

Freddy on behalf of his bride, thanked all present for the gifts, and invited each one to visit them. All joined in singing "For They Are Jolly Gool Fellows,” A social "Get Acquainted" period followed and refreshments were served. At an early hour all departed wishing the popular young couple many years of happy wedded bits. I
