If, however, the Company's boats cannot keep up daily communication between the Island and sainiand before the Ist December, the steamer “ stanley” will commence running earlier than the Isat December, so as to keep up daily com- munication,

When the steamer “Stanley” cannot make return trips between Charlottetown and Pictou, abe will then run between Pictou and George- town and make daily trips, if possible.

W hen the ice becomes so heavy that she can net meke return daily trips, the ice boats will carry the mails between Cape Traverse and Cape formentine, so as to give a daily mail tothe Island throughout the winter, weather permit- ting, andthe “-tanley” will then run between Pictou and Georgetown for the purpose of carry- iy passengers and freight, making only ove trip each dav, leaving Pictou on Monday, Wednesday and Friduy mornings, at 7 o'clock, and leaving Georgetown on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings at the same hour,

Notice of her arrival at Georgetown will be uade public by the Agentof the Marine Depart- ment at Chariottetown each day, an: also the hour of her Intended departure from George town.

As roon as the “Stanley” begins making a yeturn trip between the mainland and the Island in the early part of the year, the Iceboat Service at the Capes will be discontinned, so that as far as possible a dally mail each way will be eon- veyedgbetween the mainiand and the Island dur- lag the winter.
