-FUNERAL 0F DANIEL SUI.- LiVAN-The funeral of the "late Daniel Sullivan was held‘ yester- dly mornins at nine o'clock from the Compton Funeral Home with High Mass of Requiem st St. Paul's Church celebrated by the Rev. Howard Wight. The service at the grave was conducted by Rt. v. Msgr. G J. MacLeilan. The pallbearers were: Messrs. W. B McNeil, D. F. McNeil. Elton Rob- inson, Maior Small, Ltsnley Des- Roches and Claude Kenny.

--0N. DOUBLE SHIFT -- The dehydration plant at Summcrside operated y Island Foods Inn. re- opened on January 3nd and went on a double shift basis on Thurs- day evening, January 8rd. Tile plant has been closed for over two months due to the British Minis- try ‘of Foods cancelling all con- tracts. Later this decision was reversed and the plant was asked to resume operations. After being held up for a short time due to s shortage of coal. it was announced last week that the plant would re- open- this week. When operating normally, 100 persons are employ- ‘ed. They are short. of this num- ber at present by about 40 girls but it is’ho ed that sufficient-ap- plications wll be received immed- ately to enable operations to go on at full capacity. 5
