Last week school activities were lurgely thwarted by the westher.I At least academic wheels came to- a stop for Thursday afternoon and all Friday. "Teen Topics" did. however. go on the air and a hockey match was held between gr'ade 9 A and B. Mr. Murphy's grade DA won.

Bowling was held last week be- fore the storm and the scores were as follows, for February 2!: High single and high three for girls was Patsy Preston's HI and 523. John Whalen led boys with 292 and 668. MscLesnls Ser- vice Station had the highest to- tal with 2762.

This week was special. for it was Co-Ed Week when girls play gallants and pay for dates, help boys with coats, books. etc.

However. the girls seemed ra- ther shy for they didn't observe all the rules as posted on the bulletin board despite the impend- ing 50 cent fine. Thursday after- noon. the girls were assembled to be given a pep talk on the mat- ter. As observed at the Sadie Hawkins dance earlier this year. they showed themselves good sports at girls' tag and this bod- ed well at least for co-ed dance Friday. Feb. 5.

At this dance. girls wore red socks. boys white. as a reminder of Valentine's Day coming up.. School colors were requested for wear and dress was optional-on

Representatives of eight of the worlds major oil companies are conferring regularly behind closed doors on the complicated details y to set up such an ar- A ngement.

Sources close to the discussions regard it as a practical. commer- cial alpproach toward settling the Anglo-Iranian nationalization dis- pute which has paralyzed Iran's rich oil fields and installations.

In Tehran. meanwhile. a mecial oil committee studying the prob- lem from the Iranian viewpoint is reported urging Premier Fazollsh Zahedi to put the operation of the industry back into foreign hands as soon as pomibls.
