The enthusiastic audience rewarded the beauti- ful songstress with many expressions of ap- proval and particularly after her-«rendition m an exquisite manner of the celebrated ** Echo Song.”’ She came back and bowed her acknowledgements ; but this would not suffice, and she was forced to respond to the vociferous encore, when she sang ‘‘The tobin’s Song.” Her intonations were per- fect, and she sahg with a degree of drama- tie fervor which astonished all who had the good fortune to hear her. Mr. Ronconi, the basso of the company, fairly took the audience by storm. His flute playing was simply superb, and the hall fairly rang with applause at the completion of his selections. Rich, sweet and clear the melodious. notes of his instrument floated off upon the wings of harmony.
