As the Princess came up to the wharf last night the Grand Duchesse made a epleudid display of its powerful search- light illuminating the harbor and water- front for quite a distance.
The lighting of the Cathedral and the Pa'ace grounds was exceedingly well dove. Tbe Royal Electric Company Sighted the grounds and placed a handsome chandelier in the Cathedral. The Full Electric Com pany put a beautiful lamp in the church.
Hyprant Bursts.— Yesterday afternoon the hydrant at the corner of Prince and Fitzr vy streets buret froma sudden pressu'e of waterstriking the top and forcing it off. ‘Lhe water then shot up into tbe air to 4 great height, almoet as high as the Baptist Church spire. It was some time before repair men from | the water department arrived, when the hydrant wae quickly re- paired.
