Struggle Shapes Up Between ‘Banks, Quebec Credit Unions)

Credit uhion sources say the) banks told the co-operative instit- utions that the reason for the higher cheque charges is that they face rising operating costs. These sources say ‘the real reason behind the higher charges is the banks’ desire to hold back the credit unions’ mounting bus- iness.
