Tits season has been altogether a very extraordi- aary one. We do not over recollect to have seen so little snow, accompanied with such intense cold, at this advanced period of the season. It has been a great disadvantage to the farmers and others. for the roads are barely passable in many parts of the coun- try. On Saturday, the 28th, and Sunday, the 29th inst. the thermometer was said to have ranged as low as 12—aad some say 25—degrees below zero. Thnt It was axtratriely cold, is indicated by the fact, that the water in several of the public pumps was frozen to that degree of solidity as to render them useless,- a thing that has not happened since they were lirst placed in their respective situations. The weather has since moderated, and we may, we hope, look out for a little snow.
