-FAREWELL GATHERING-A very pleasant get-together of all relatives of Mrs. Libby gathered on the spacious lawns at Mrs James Hlckey's on Wednesday aft- ernoon, August 15th, prior to her departure for home, and spent In very delightful afternoon of games'and sports for the kiddies. About 45 adults and children per- ticipated: Refreshments were serv- ed, including home-made ice cream and cake. and all left for their homes after wishing Mrs. Libby bon voyage, and hoping to renew this gathering many more years to come. It is five years since Mrs. Libby last visited her Island home a.nd she sees many changes.

Coffin. in the chair. Following the call to worship and the singing of the hymn "God of Mercy. God of Grace", with Mrs. Emmett Ranab-an at the piano. Mrs. Lois Moase read the scrip- ture lesoon in St. John 4 and Miss Constance Enman offered prayer. After routine business I. discus- sion was held on the Course of study for the term. -REGRET EXPRESSED-Much sorrow and regret was expressed by the very large congregation at- tending the night service of the Brae United Church anniversary on Sept. 9th, and throughout the whole district, when it became known that Mrs. Bannerman Lock- hart. 22. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Milllgan of Milo, P. 1:. 1., passed away in Halifax from an auto - ” t on Saturday. -A pretty autumn wedding was solemnized on Saturday morning. Sept. 8th. in the Bedeque United Church, when Rev. W. Burton Crowe. B.A., united in marriage Marian Inuisa, R.N., only daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs. Elliot wright. Middleton, and Malcolm Earl. son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl MacDonald. Charlottetown.

The church was beautifully de- corated with gladioli. and guest pews were marked with green and lvvhite bouquets. Mrs. Walter Craig lplayed the nuptial music.

Given in marriage by her father. the bride wore a gown of white or- ganza with lace and train. Her headdress was a linger-tip veil of tulle illusion, and she carried a bouquet. of red roses with baby's breath.
