Excursion ro Jamaica.—The steamer Halitax has been chartered for an excursion to Jamaica. The negotiations were cvm- pleted"by Benjamin Johnson, of the New England Grocer. It is expected that abvut 150 people wiil go from Boston, the scheme being to occupy three werks on the trip and the excursionists to eat and sleep on board while at Jamaica. After leaving Boston the Halitax will call at Bermuda and Port Autonio, then preceed to Kingston, where the longest stay will be made. The overhauling of the Halifax will be corm- completed by about the 20th inst., whea she will sai] for Boston. The date for her departure from Boston for the West Indies being the 28th inst.
