We did stay in the game for the first half, retiring to the dressing rooms with’only a 1—12 deficit and scoring the only pointiaf~the Second : quartergfifidfiéve Effiiadia Was admittedly the'best team on the field and really took control of the game in the second half. He serves as a great m1- to those who are attempt- ing to follow his example. One gets increasingly sur- prised at the number of those who, obviously, are becoming aware of the exc— ess avoirdupois of their midsections and who are tr- ying to do something about it as they jog during the- ir spare time or walk to and from home to work. During weekends like the past homecoming one we are often surprised by the fr— equent number of dignified gentlemen approaching obee sity who greet us and wh— om we recognize, yardily, as the skinny athletes of less than a decade past. So far we haVe resisted the temptation to join the jo— ggers but we urge others to consider it.

Gary Heald has his bas- ketball team working HARD.. it is well worth while to drop in at the gym and see them at workouts... Monda- ys at 7.00, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 4.15, Thurs- days and Fridays 3.00(all pm of course, although the way Gary drives them,am would not shock us).
