Christmas will be here soon. Again Canadian big business will be putting forth a major effortrto maximize profits. Many of these industries such as General Electric, Lytton Industries, etc. which are involved in the arms race will be uttering "peace on Earth, goodwill toward men". (It's neces- sary to say that at Christmas it's good for sales! What hypocriety!) Meanwhile, throughout the rest of the year these death merchants, through government subsidy , waste #3-billion of our tax money on arms. This is not enough, so they cut health care, housing, ed- cuation, and municipal services so that more money can go into the highly profitable business of ' killing. The needs of the people go unmet. Many families will have a meagre Christmas. Ask a father who must try and provide a decent Christmas‘ for his family while on U.I.C.
