fifty thousand hours filling out forms, handing in papers, obtaining proofs of every cent we made in a year, all that hastle to get half of what we expected and a quarter of what we need.

Case in point -- last year, I had a student loan. It payed for all of my first semester, great. Come second semester, I received $275 from the second hald of my loan. I lost about $1500 from my loan because I had under-estimated how much my campus job would pay me. However, my job payed for my rent, bills and just enough to get by on. Meanwhile, over the summer, I had to pay back to the University what my loan didn’t cover, some $1000 dollars! Now, come the start of this year, I received $255 to pay for my first semester. Why? Because I hadn’t payed back $1961 to Student Loans because of last semester. I thought that the amount of $1961 was paid, having come out of what I was to receive to pay for second semester last year. Boy, was I wrong.

Now, I’m paying $50 every two weeks to pay for my courses from my paycheck of just close to $200 every two weeks, on top of rent and house bills. Don’t even bother to try to count money for food in there somewhere. The only reason I’m making that much is because I’m working all the overtime I can get my hands on, or else my pay would be close to $180 per week. I’m a really happy camper today.

Okay, enough of my personal griping. But are you in a similar situa- tion? Well, let’s do something about it. Come on, everybody! Even if you aren’t stuck like us poor schumcks on loans, we need your help, too.

Oh, one last thing, and think about this. If the loans are for students, how come we have to attach our parents’ income tax forms to our applications?

Once again I would like to open my article with a thank-you for all the email I recieved. All view points are welcome and as always you can reach me at Icabon@upei.ca. As promised in last week’s article I shall discuss homosexual versus heterosexual sex.

I wish to make my view- point clear from the start, I believe homosexual sex to be better than heterosexual sex. I have no personal experience with the former so this is

only a theory, but a plausible theory itis. I realize the mere thought of this disgusts most people and I’m included in that group. You may wonder why I would think this type of sex would be better. I’m speaking only on pure feeling alone, pleasure, in other words. It stands to reason that someone of the same sex would understand the ‘‘equipment’’ better than someone of the opposite sex. This of course would be more pleas- urable, if we could open our minds to it. Our up-bringing has taught us that homosexual sex is wrong and disgusting, so this is what we think.

I think bisexuals have the best of both worlds, you could finish the night off with sex regardless of who you’ve gone out with. Traditional thinking would never allow such radical behavior. Very few people have the ability to disassociate sex from the other feelings involved, such as love. With increased free- dom of thoughts and expression perhaps such sexual activities will become the norm.

I’ll finish this week with a qoute from actress Sharon Stone from a Vanity Fair interview, **Once in a while, you hope that. . . there would be an alternative’ [to dating men]. Still, she says she does not have women lovers. ‘‘If I could get into it, it would be great,’’ she says. But ‘‘It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that schwing.”’

Regardless of the equipment you’re playing with, remember to protect yourself with the proper gear. I’ll catch you again next issue.
