Toronto, Sept. 12.—Henry Hobbs, a faimer, who lives near Cherry Grove, has discovered a number of bones belonging to what was evidertly a gigantic masto- don. Up to date about fifty bones have been discovered, andthe search is now being pushed with the object of discover- ing the head of the mastodon. The most interesting aad striking portion of the remains is a huge curved tusk which measures more than nine feet from the baeé to the tip, the base being more then a foot in circumference.
