Last evening at 7 45 the members of ibe | Caledonian Club met in their rooms and | presevied Lieutenant Macdonald with a valuable gold ring The eddress spoke in ternas of praise ef Lieutenant MacDonald, | who was about to depart for Africa ‘o baitie for the Enpire, and expressed the hope that he wonld returp to hie native province at an ea:ly date safe and sound.

The address was read by Mr. Jobn Mc- Phee, president of the'-lub, and wae feel- ingly aod fittingly ackuowledged by Lieut. Macdo.a'd.
