From Poverty to Wrati8n.,—Accord- ing to a Spriogficld despatcb, Maurice Meehan, an inmate of the Morgan county poorhouse, has fallen heir to $20,000, be- queathed tu him by his soo, William Meehan, who wentto the Black Hills in 1879. Nothing bas been heard of youug Meehan until a few days ago, when it was ascertained that he had been ki led by hostile Indians last May. In addition to the $20.000, Maurice Meehan falls heir to his sOu’s interest in three mining claims, which are said to be valuable, and stock in a large transportation company in Alaska.
