Lila were .driv- an by Mr. Mantle Livingstone. of Little Sands to attend the funeral of Mrs. Blue's cousin Miss Dam- aris Creed of Albion who passed away so suddenly on June 28. at her home in Albion. It may well be said of Damaris. she loved in Gods out-door world. To all the loved ones sincere heart felt and loving sympathy is extended.

Mrs. Blue visited her former home in Albion and was surprised at all the changes. round and a- bout and in her old home in Alb- ion. many old trees and landmarks have been removed until as she says. "One would hardly know' the place."

On her way home they visited her sister. Mrs. Rowan Sencalough, Oak Valley, who has been ill so much since last January. But we hope that Mrs. Sencabough is now on the raod to I omplete recovery.

The school is now closed. Work was completed and tests finished on June 27, and the teacher and pupils and some others from the district drove to Point Pleasant for their picnic where an enjoyable afternoon was spent.

It is reported that the teacher. Miss Stewart is not returning to Little Sands next year and as yet no teacher has been engaged for this school as far as is known.

The fishing season has closed and today, July 3 (or earlier) has pretty well wound up the taking in of the traps. Foggy weather on Monday and windy weather Tues- day morning delayed the men somewhat; but it is believed that most of the traps have been land- ed by today or earlier. Loads of homes and rope are often seen pas-

sing by. We hope they have all,

had a very successful year.

It is reported that Mr. Lemmie MacLean expects to get home very soon from the Provincial Sanitar- ium. His many friends will be glad to hear this and wish him a healt- hy life in the future. Best wishes also go out to his wife, who is ill at her home for I complete re covery soon.
