Queen’s MP Busy In Dual Role

Mr. Macquarrie recently spen'. four days in Ottawa in the inter- ests of his constituents. He flaw here from New York last Friday and left late Tuesday.

While in Ottawa the junior MP for Queens conferred with offit- ials of the Transport, Fisheries and Agriculture departments. He was also in touch with several cabinet ministers.

A resident of Dunstaffnagc re- ceived a seven-day jail sentence in City Police Court yesterday morning when he was eonviettzi of drunken driving.

Evidence was heard from the arresting officer. Constable Kcitn \Vakeiin and the accused. Mag istrate K.M. Martin found thcl man guilty as charged and also ordered the court to serve him a warrant for another offense, driving over a fire liesc.

A Charlottetowh man was fined $5 or two days when he pleaded guilty to using insulting and ad usive language to another man.

A St. Mary's Road man was fined $20 and costs or 10 days when he was convicted of being drunk and disorderly. He had been in police custody since his case was remanded on October 20111.
