During the season just passed there was a total of 48,122 days of work provided under winter works projects, a substantial increase over the 30,640 days work provided under the same program a year before. The imposing total of the two years is 78,762 days of work, Mr. MacNaught said, pointing out that this meant a great deal in dollars and cents to the workmen of the county, particu-
