Tcis with regret that we today asnounce the death of Mr. Simon Grant, which oc- curred at his hume at Vernon Rover, at an early hour on Saturday morning. Mr. Grant was tor several years empleyed in the machine shop of the Island Rail- way, and kad many friends in Charlotte- town who will hear with regret of his death. Three or four years ago Mr. Grant went to St John’s, Nfld, and from

there he proceeded to the United States. Last summer his health began to fail, and in the autuma he returned to his Island home in the hope that the change would be _ helpful. But notwithstanding all that could be done for him he gradualiy sank wotil ike end came.
