We at the Cadre, had the pleasure of having Dave come to UPELfor two differ- ent one week periods to help us out. He was a low—key type of person, but a mas— ter in all aspects of a newh spaper. He never forced any— thing upon us, but made sug- gestions and helped in any capacity that we needed. He ‘ typed, assisted with lay—out,

les and wrote some of his own. You may remember the two he wrote: one an anai— ysis of the Canada—Russia Hockey series, and a more recent one on the prospects for improvement of the stu- dent loan situation. 1
