In Zion Church hall on Sunday afternoon a service was held for the women of the City. under the auspices of the British and Foreign Bible Society. Mrs.

Wilkinson gave a vivid word nie- ture of conditions in England and on the continent of Europe and of what the Bible Society is 60ml! t0 help supply the spiritual needs of the people. The hugs and appre- ciative audience listened with rapt attention graphically described the suffenhsl and needs of these people. the shat- tered homes and scattered families. the discouragements and aches caused by the ravages of war.

The service closed with the sini- ing of the hymn “Jesus Bull Reign" and the Lord's Prayer.
