Mr. Arsenault was the son of Frank A. Arsenauit of Uurbanvllle and had arranged to enter the hos- pital for treatment. He got up as usual that morning and was driven In a wagon to wellington Station, g distance of about five miles.

Upon arrival at the station he could not walk and had to be as- sisted on to the train. He bccam" quite sleepy on the journey down to Summerside and upon arrival bf the train at this station he had to be carried into a taxi, the driver drove him immediately to the hos- pltal.

Mr. Cyrus Gallant and Mr. Frank F. Arrenault, brother of the deceased, noticed that Mr. Arsen- the lace and was gasping for breath.

Upon their grrlval at the hos- pital, Dr. MePhee came out. and on seeing the condition of the man lent for the priest, but before he could be removed from t'he car he 1 expired. '

Good crop conditions in Prince Edward Island this year are pre- dicted by Dr. J-. A. Clark, superin- tendent of the Experimental Station. Dr. Clark bases his prediction on the favorable prospect of a late spring season. The clover crop particularly he behaves will be much better than for s. number of years past. Crocuses are slreedv out st the Experimental Station.

The Station has had good success in hatching Barred Plymouth Rock chickens. Over 1,100 are now out, and not one chick has been lost since hatching. The chickens are all from pedigreed stock, several hundred of them being from regis- tered stock. I

Inst year the Station put in 360 pullets, chickens. without culling, and these birds averaged 116 eggs.

BODILY BEREAVED FAMILY- Many home friends of Mrs. William McKay, formerly of Long Creek, will regret to hear that she lies danger- ously ill in the Bay Ridge Hospital, Brooklyn, N. Y., after an operation. She is getting the best of surgical care and attention and everything possible is being done for her recov- cry. Mr. and Mrs. McKay have had a year of great trial and grief, as Mr. McKay's brother wss struck by an auto and almost instantly killed. Then his sister died suddenly of heart disease and later a young cousin died sfter an operation. -—BAD FIRE AT GLENWODD. L01‘ 8—Fire destroyed the property} of Mr. E. L. McDougall, of Glen- wood. Lot B, consisting of his fine dwelling house, store buildings, warehouse and out-buildings with their contents on Sunday. The fire was discovered about noon in the‘ store, which was rented by Mr. Ran- kin Howatt as a general merchan- dise store. The family and neigh- bours were all in church at the time and had gained considerable head- way, and soon spread to the house and other buildings. Neighbours gathered and kept the fire away from adjoining properties. Only a few pieces of furniture were saved and Mr. McDougalYs light motor truck from the shed. The contents of the store were totally destroyed. There was only a small insurance. It is thought that the fire started from‘ the stove in the store. The loss of the building is valued in the vicinity of $3.000 or more-S.
