Former Borden Resident Dies

Mr. McGilvray who was in his 68th year was well known in Borden and vicinity having oper- ated the Borden Restaurant for @ number of’ years and also worked as chief cook on the M.V. Abegweit.

His wife, ‘formerly Mabe} MacDonald of Souris, predeceas- ed him five years ago.

He had been living with his brother Harold McGilvray at Medford when the accident oc curred and interment took place at Medford. .

CNIB Needs More Funds

Interesting reports were givn by Russell Driscoll and Allison Gill on th P.E.I. United Fund and the Lions Glaucoma Clinics, respectively: During the dis- cussion of the P.E.I. United Fund, it was pointed out that the Board would have a deficit on. Dec. 31 unless additional money could be realized. The Board approved the expenditure of $1,043.60 for eye service, which had been extended ‘to 122 persons throughout the province during the: period of May 1, 1965 to Nov. 1, 1965.
