Proposed Federation Discussed By (lueen Square H. And 3.

A general meeting of the Queen Square Home and school Associa- tion was held Tuudsy evening at Queen square school. Judge C. St. Clair Trainer presiding.

Introduced by Col. Lee 1''. Mac- Donald. and under the training and leadership of Miss Bethany MacDonald. it boya' choir of forty voices rendered four selections. each of which was enthusiastically received by the audience. A solo part was carried in splendid man- ner by Master Carl Cheverle.

After rout.lne business was eon- ducted. Judge Tralnor introduced the subject. of the proposed 1edera- tion of provincial Home and school anocistioris. It was unanimous- U decided by vote of-the associa- tion to Join this federation. if and when formed. Five voting delegates were selected to attend the or- ganisational meeting. Those nam- ed were M.rs. George Chandler. Mrs. Charles Cheverie, Judge Trainer, Mr. Stephen Connolly, and Mr. James Mocalium.

Following the showing of a den- tal education film. Dr. L. 8. ol- Meaxa addressed the group on the subject of dental health, and dealt in a most comprehensive and in- formative manner with many phases of this question. The thanks of the association were tendered Di'. O'Meara by Judge Trainer who amured the speaker the earnest support of the present dental health situation.

Col. MacDonald spoke briefly on the school's recent purchase of Ti projector, and the meeting con- cluded with the showing of ii short educational film.

crystal chapter Annual Meeting

The annual meeting of Crystal Chapter of the L. O. B. A. was held at Charlottetown on Thurs- day. January 15th, with a large attendance of members. The Senior Preceptress, Mary Mac- Phail. presided.

A satisfactory report was read by the recording registrar, Mae Adams. The treasurer's report was

read by Prec. Alice Jewel, and the a.udiiois' report by Prec. Gladys Downe.

It was decided the Institute would help provide the necessary equipment for the school children to have hot cocoa for lunch.

The programme consisted of I. been guessing contest. which was won by Mrs. Melvyn MacGregor.

A delicious lunch was then serv- ed by the hasten. assisted by the lunch committee. The remainder of the evening was enjoyed with giyuio and banjo music furnished
