Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Leo Mc- Guirk of 68 Brown Street were giv- en a surprise party recently in honor of their 40th wedding anni- versary. Over 75 guests attended the affair which was held at the Franco-American Club.

The couple were born in Prince Edward Island. Canada and were; married there on April 17. i9l7 by- the Rev. McGuigan. Mrs. Mt-Guirk, is the former Miss Mary McAd-I ams. They came to Athol. 28 years ago.
