There passed away suddenly at the Charlottetown Hospital Billb- lin McKinnon in his 56th. year.

He was s devout Catholic and the last holy rites of tihe Catholic Church were administered by Monsignor Maurice Mscdonald.

Laughlin. or Lac as he was ai- ways called was widely known for his ever friendly mariner and kindly disposition. always ready to help those in need and his house vi-tis always open to friend and stranger alike.

He was s veteran of the first World War serving this country during its duration and where he made many steadfast friends and his sudden death came as a great shock to all.

He leaves to mourn the loss of a loving father and husband, his wifet nee Georgina Russell) and one son John Leonard. also one brother John at Union.

On December 6th, Cavendish and surrounding districts were saddened by a message frcim Dorchesier, Mass.. telling of the passing oi Mrs. Jemima Robertson. widow of Mr. Gordon Robertson who passed away some FEELS 3R0.

The end came very suddenly on the morning of December 5th. Her remains arrived on the Island on Friday. December 10th. accompan- ied by her neice Miss Clara Hcw s and a friend Mr. Walter Butters. The funeral services were held in the Cavendish Baptist Church on Saturday afternoon. A large num- ber gathered to pay their respects to their friend, who some years ago had lived in this ccmmunity and was a kind neighbour and trite friend. Mimic. as she was called by her friends. tenderly nursed her husband until he passed away tvlay 10th. 192i.
