Most of this new business, they believe. will remain in Canada even after the controls have been re- moved.

SYRACUSE. N. Y.. Nov. 2 - (AP) - A Colonial Airlines spokesman said tonight that the United States Air Force had in- formed his cornpan, a "flash" that lighted the sky over the Northeastern U. S. and Canada came from a Canadian-div charged rocket.

The unit was trapped near Unsan in Northwest Korea.

Fifty miles to the west. the leading regiment of the U. S. 24th Division. which had rolled within 15 miles of Red China's Manchurian border. was pulling back because of the suddenly serious situation on its flank.

The atomic bomb up to now has been a strategic weapon. for mass destruction of cities. but not for tactical use against forces in the field.
