IS Excellency the Lieutenant Governor in Council was this

day pleased to fix and determine the rate at which the

amount of the InVoice of Dutiable Goods imported into this Is-

land from the United States of America, shall, in estimating the

duties payable thereon, be reduced into current money of the Island, as follows:—

In all cases where such Invoices shall be made out in Dollars and Cents of the paper currency of the United States. the amount of such Ini'oice shall be reduced into current money of this Island, by allowing for each Dollar the sum of Five Shillings, and in the like proportion for any fraction of a Dollar; of which all .Collec~ tors of Impost are to take notice and govern themselves accor~

ROAD COMPENSATION ACT, PUBLIC NOTICE.

IIEREAS a Commission has been issued directed to us,

under and by virtue of an Act passed in the Fourteenth year of the reign of her present Majesty Queen Victoria, intituled " An Act to regulate the laying out and alterng of Highways, and of the Acts in amendment thereof,” whereby we arc commanded to estimate the damage or advantage that will accrue to the parties through whose land a New Line of road is intended to pass along the Sounty line dividing Townships Eighteen and Twenty.

0 BE SOLD by PUBLIC AUCTION, on TllI'RSDAY, the Twnmi'rn day of JULY next, at the hour of 12 o’clock, noon, at the COLUNlAL BUILDING in Charlottetown, under and by virtue of a Power of Sale Contained in a certain Indenture of Mortgage, hearing date the Thirteenth day of June, A.D. 1562, and made between John Egan then of Charlottetown, in Prince Edward Is- land,Plasterer, and Margaret Egan, his wife, of the one part, and the Hon John Longwurth, of the same place, Barrister-at-Law, of the other part: ALL that piece or parcel of Land,siiuate on or form- ing part of Common Lot No. Thirty-two. within the Royalty ofChar- lottetown, and described as Plot number Twelve in a certain Deed of Conveyance of parts of said Common Lot, executed by Francis Longworth and Sarah Parker, his wife, to the said John Longworth, hearing date the ﬁfth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and ﬁfty-six, and also on the plan annexed to said Deed, the said Plot being bounded on the North-Westward by the St. Peter’s Road, and having a sufﬁcient front thereon to give Forty-two feet on a right angle line, with parallel side lines running South-eastwardly from said Road, the South-western side line being Eighty-eight feet in length, and the Northeastern ninety—nine lcCt, the said North- eastern line forming the side line of a new street recently opened from the St. Peter’s Road to Huston Street, together with all buildings, fences, imprOVemt-nts, rights and appurtenances to the said described piece of land, belonging or appertaining.
