Road Compensation Notice.

WHEREAS a. Commission, hearing date the 4th day of September inst, now last past, has been issued to us, under and by Virtue of an Act passed in the 14th year of the reign of Her present Majesty Queen Victoria, int'ituled “ An Act to regulate the laying out and altering of Highway,” and an .Act in amendment thereof, whereby we are commanded to estimate the damage or advantage that may accrue to those persons wholare interested in the lands through which a certain now Read is intended to pass, being the continuation of the Little IIill Road,in Township No. 37,through Patrick O’Hare’s and other farms towards Pisquid New Bridge, and from Clark‘s bridge to said new line of Road by avoiding Walker’s hill, and from the southern end of Worthy’s Road along William McCannell’s north boundary line to the said Little Hill or Tyholland Road, in Lot 37, aforesaid : Now we do hereby give Public Notice to all persons concerned that we will commence the execution of the said commission, by attending at the house of Mr. Francis Murray, in Lot 37, on Saturday, the 12th day of October next, at the hour of 11 o’clock in the forenoon, and proceeding along the said intended line of new Road, will complete the aid Commission according to law. ' Y virtue of a writ of Fieri Facias to me directed, issue

out of Her Majesty’s Supreme Court of Judicature, at the suit of Robert Bruce Stewart against Donald McLean, I have taken and seized as the preperty of the said Donald McLean, all the Right, Title and Leasehold Interest of the said Donald McLean in and to One hundred acres of Land, little more or less, situate on Lot or Township Number 30, with the buildings and appurtenances thereunto belonging. in Queen’s County; and I do hereby give Public Notice, that I will, on the 30th day of August, 1867, at 12 o’clock, noon, at the Court House, in Charlottetown, in the said County, set up and sell, at Public Auction, the said property, or as much thereof as will satisfy the levy marked on the said writ, being twenty-five pounds ten shillings and eleven pence debt, 16s 8d for this writ, besides Sheriif‘s fees and incidental expenses.

HIS Excellency the Lieutenant Governor in Council was this day pleased to fix and determine the rate at which the amount of the Invmce of Dutiablc Goods, imported into this Island from the United States of America, shall, in estimating the duties payable thereon, be reduced into current money of the Island, as follows:—

In all cases where such Invoices shall be made out in Dollars and Cents ofthe paper currency of the United States, the amount of such Invoice shall be reduced into current money of this Island, by allowing for each Dollar the sum of FOUR SHILLINGS AND SIX-PEHCE, and in the like proportion for any fraction of 8. Del- lar; of which all Collectors of Impost are to take notice and govern
