At a very pretty Wedding which took place in the United Church Manse, Breadalbane, on Wednesday. September 8th, 1948, at 5.00 P. M. Miss Jeanette MacDonald daugh- ter oi Mr. and Mrs. Angus R. Mac- Donald, Thistlc and shamrock, was united in marriage to Mr. Ernest Koots, Sylvan Lake. Alta, son o! Mrs. and the late Mr. Paul Koots. Eckville, Alta. The double ring ceremony was periormed by the Rev. W.,B. MacPhall.

The bride looked charming in a daytime frock or pale blue crepe with black accessories and wore a corsage oi red roses and maiden hair iern. She was attended by her sister, Mrs. Leslie Clark. who wore a rose crepe dress and black accessories. I-Ier Corsage was oi yellow roses.

Mr. Leslie Clark capably per- iormed the duties oi groomsman. Ilollmving the ceremony a rec- eption was held at the bride's home where a delicious weddins supper was served to the immed- iate iamilles. The table was cen- tered with s three-tier wedding cake surrounded by flowers and tall white tapers.

Helen Amelia DesBrisay who Jad reached her eighty-ﬁlth year en- tered into rest at Montreal on Tuesday oi this week. She was a daughter of Peter DesBrisay who many years ago carried on business in Charlottetown residing at "The Hill," l-lillsboro Street.

She was one oi the earliest grad- uates irom the nursing school oi the Montreal General Hospital and during a long career of private duty and public health nursing won an outstanding place in the aiiection and regard of all medical circles in the metropolis.

In religious circles too her Lal- ents were lavishly outpoured and in the church oi St. John the Evan- gelist ot which she was a devoted member she was particularly re- regarded as an angel o! mercy and leader in good works.

Her funeral service was held at St. John's Church on Wednesday afternoon, Canon Davison officiat- ing. and she was brought to Charlottetown for burial in the family plot at Sherwood on Satur- day m0rnlng_ Canon Malone taking the service oi committal.

l-Ielen DeaBrisay was an elder sister o! Colonel Lucretia Des- Brisay who recently so suddenly passed away while visiting Char- lottetown. and who, sharing an apartment with her sister in Mont- real had lovlngly ministered to her throughout a prolonged illness un- til several months ago when in- creasing weakness had necessitated her removal to hospital. Relatives and admiring friends here will long cherish her memory.
