Hockey: Panthers Win Nail Biter 4-3

The men's hockey ; Panthers team put themselves

back over 500 by earning their

eleventh win of the regular sea- son. After dropping four games in a row, the men won.a nail- biter against the Dalhousie Tigers by a final score of 4-3. The Panthers scored the first

from behind. With just over 6 minutes left in the first, the Panthers defense coughed up the puck in the offensive zone to Tigers forward Dominic Noel, who slid the puck past Flick on a breakaway.

The Panthers came out swinging early in the second period scoring two goals which were only 90 seconds apart. The

Fortunately, the Panthers fought back with a short-handed goal of their own when Kozoriz notched his second goal of the game, putting the boys ahead by two with only 2:31 remaining. inched closer to a tie when Noel scored his second of the game on the powerplay. That was as close as the Tigers would get, as they were unable to capitalize on the 6-4 man advantage.

Fans got to watch a game that was riddled with penalty calls and lots of powerplay attempts. This game could have had a much different outcome had either team been able to capitalize on the powerplay. The Panthers were only 1/7 on the powerplay, while Dalhousie only managed one goal on six attempts. Goaltender Jason Flick
