Don Gillis, an Engineering professor, describes 'this so- called overloading in a philosophical quotation from Plutarch: “Do not consider the mind a vessel to be ﬁlled, but a ﬁre to be kindled.” In other words, 'students shouldn’t come to university justfor the sake of coming, which creates stagnation. Students should taken an active role of obtaining an awareness of what university life has to offer. ’

The Senate of the University of Prince Edward island has scheduled extra meetings in January to cope m... .. hood of reports from the Academic Planning Committee on proposed revisions to the University Calendar for 1984-1986.

The UPEI Student Union has opened position of advertising manager for l984-85

The successful applicant will be in charge Advertising for next year’s yearbook, the student newspaper, and the campus radio station.

The position will start in mid-February to give the person chosen an opportunity to meet clients and be shown the ropes by the current ad manager.
