Caarcep Wirn Sreatixc.—This fore- noon Edward Murphy and William Weatherbie were arraigned before police» Magistrate Haszard on a charge(of stealing a quantity of pocket knives, mouth organs and playiog cards from the premices of Hasard & Moore some time between Sat- urday nigbt and Monday morning last. Sergeant Braaley testified to arresting Murphy and Weatherbie, and finding at the former’s home four packages of peas, a mouth organ, several match safes and some magazine pipe lighers. Since his arrest Murphy told the sergeant tbat he had taken the match g.fes from the store three years ago, when they were moving across tue square. Mr. Moore identifiea some of the stuff found at Murphy’s home as that which ws on sale in his stores The prieconers were remanded until Mon-~ day.
