Friends are sorry to hear of the illness of Miss Emeline Frlzzle. She is being cared for at the home of her niece, Mrs. John Heffell, South Freetown. All hope for an early r-e- iteration to health.

Miss Dorothy Auld of Freetown, returned on Wednesday from a two weeks visit to Oottawa. While there she was the guest of her cousins, Miss Wiiiiiifrcd Burns and Miss Evelyn Rogers.

The death occured in Charlotte. town on Wednesday, August 30 of Mrs. Louis Moore, aged sixty-four years. Mrs. Moore was formerly Beatrice Hlscox. daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James I-liscox of Freetown. Burizil took place in the family plot in Freetown Cemetery on Friday. Sept. 1.

Their leader, Mrs. Louis Calms, is to be coiigintulaied on the very ef- ficient way in which she is guiding her class. Mr. Robert Reeves was organist for the different musical selections.

MRS. JAMES STUART CLARK

Entered into rest at San Mateo

Hospital, California on Saturday July ist 1950, Florence iDorina Mathieson, wife of the late James Stuart Clark of Palo Alto, Cali- fornia. She was born in Prince Edward Island, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald Math- ieson of Travellers Rest. In the year 1907 she left P. E. I. to visit her uncle in California. That fall she enrolled in a Busi- ness College there, and the follow- ing spring entered a law office in Palo Alto, as a stenographer. which position she held, until her marriage to James Stuart Clark, a prominent business man of that city. He died suddenly in 1941. Mrs. enjoyed her usual; health up to June doth. On that.- evening she suffered a heart. at-, tack and died three hours later,. she was an exceptionally bright- and intelligent person and took a keen interest in all religious andl social questions. She was of I most kind disposition ever trying to make the lives of others hap- pier, and her good example will always be fresh in the minds of the many with whom she was ac- quainted.

Her funeral services were held in the Roller and Hapgnod fun- eral home by the Rev. Donald Hall of the Presbyterian church. Interment was in a beautiful plot in the Alta Messa Memorial Cem- etery ln Palo Alto.
