Hon Mr. Ouimet said that a careful survey had been made last summer, and sn elaborate report had been received by the Department ot Pablic Works, and it wili be brought down without delay. The report shows that it will require $12,500 for the eastern section of the break water and $850 for the western eection, and the dredging required wili cost $9,000, or altogether $22,350. This report will be laid hefore the Government, and if they can spare the money, he (Mr. Ouimet) would be very glad to have it expended.

The sum of $1,200 has been placed in the estimates for steam service between Montague, Georgetown, Murray Harbor, Souris end Pictou. This amount has been obtained through the evergetic work of Messrs. McLean and Macdonald, the members for King’s County.

The report of the Caron royal commission was presented to the House yesterday, and will likely cause a long discussion when it comes up again.

Owing to Mr. Perry being unwell on Mon- day, his motion re the tunnel borings did not come up.

A lively discussion took place on Mr. Tis- dale’s motion for papers, documents and cor respondence in connection with the Recipro- city negotiations in 1891. It appears that some memorandum ws made of what took place; and the Government have asked the Im- perial Government for leave to bring it down. Mr. Davies raised quite a row by staling that the Government were trying to conceal part of what actually took place, although th:y had given the press part of the information. Mr. Mulock did not consider the Imperial Govern- ment had anything to do with the matter, and was very forcible in his remarks. Sir John Thompson quietly reminded the House that the negotiations were actually between the British Minister at Washington and the United States Secretary of State. There was no wish on the part of the Dominion Ministry to with- hold any information from the House; but they could not bring down the papers asked for without the consent of the Imperial author- ities,

The matter will likely come up again, as Mr. McLean, of York, riled the Opposition|by reference to the annexation mission of some of their supporters, who have lately been in the United States.

The name of A. C. Macdonald and McLean, of Kings, appear on the list of members on Bailways, Canalis and Telegraph Lines. Mr, Macdonald is also on the committee on Bank- ing and Commerce, and both Macdonald and McLean are on the committee on Agriculture and Colonization. Meesrs. Yeo, Davies and Perry are also members of several committees, and Mr. Perry is President of the Members Smoking Room.
