Plans for the erection of a new 16-room Summerside Re- gional High School, which will eost in the vicinity of $400,000 were announced last evening by Earl G. Cannon, chairman of the school’s board of trustees, during an information meeting at the Summerside Legion, for the ratepayers of the 18 dis- tricts comprising the East Prince rural regional unit of ad- ministration.

Mr, Cannon called the build- ing ‘‘a new conception in school design”, and noted especially the two-floor octagonal class- room area, which is joined to the rest of the school by a cor- ridor.

The more conventional part of the building will house an euditorium-gymnasium, a _ lib- rary, office and restroom space, showers and lockerrooms.
