We believe the views of the Goyernment are so far matured upon this very important subyeet. tll“§ they may be submitted to the Legislature _in the course of a few days; and we have no hesitation in saying that .on_ ii subyect involving so many important public interests ‘as a rapid and eili_ci- ent mail communication with the other Provin- ces, the two llouses of Legislature will promptly and almost unanimously co-operate with the Government. One of the many great advan- tages of the proposed_ route is, that 'latmn- gouche will be a convenient rendezvous, and _far more so than Pictou, for persons travelling towards the Island from either i\o\':t bonus or New Brunswick.—E.rumi'ucr.

Robert Mooney, in rep yin to Mr. Kenny's letter, in reference to Mr. LePage’s etition, refers to his votes in the House of Assembly to prove that he is not “the natural enemy of Education,” and takes credit to him- self for having 0 posed the drone: who “ex sad the ignorance o the Country people.” hat Robin Adair or his omonuensis means by this indefinite writing, it is somewhat diticultto determine. I confess, Mr. Editor, that I am not very well acquainted with the internal rc- ulations ofa bee-hive, but I believe the term rone is applied to such members of the Com- monwealth. as do little or nothing for a large amount of honey which they consume. If this eﬁnition ol the term he allowed, then the lion. Gentleman's remarks will apply to himself,with rcater relevancy, than to an other person in t c Island.
