Aunt Lizabeth Randolph. all of

whose money had been made out to Forbes, disgusted at his reckless way of living. decides to change her will. He, however. overheard her discus- sing this with Isabelle. and makes up his mind to poison her. To do this he obtains poison from theme- dical chest of Dr. Joshua Crandall, who is in love with Aunt Lizabeth, but the spirit of Wayne frustrates him in this by changing the bottle of poison for another containing some harmless drug.

After this attempt on the part oi Forbes, Wayne's spirit appears to him and forces him to write a con- fession that he had murdered Wayne. end attempted to murder Aunt 'Lizabeth. This Forbes con- ceals behind a loose brick in the fireplace. One day later on, when Isabelle Dale is present the brick drops out and she discovers the confession. Miss Dale, however, throws the confession in the fire.

But the shock proves too much for her and on this which was to be the wedding night of Dr. Crandall and Aunt Llzabeth, she dies. While these two are working over her body. her spirit is seen to join that oi Wayne. so that the two lovers are united in death.

As always, Miss Shorey played the leading role of Isabelle Dale splendidly. while Mr. Marble gave an excellent rendering of the difll- cult part of Jerry Wayne and his spirit. Duncan Forbes handled the thankless part of the Villian excel- lently, while Mr. Campbell furnish- ed a splendid ioil in the lighter part of the droll old doctor. Miss Aikins and Miss Roswell also gave an ar- tistic rendering of their roles.
