Man dies on campus

WHILE WALKING his dog, a man died on campus Tuesday evening. The UPEI Security Department says that John Bernard Fleming, a 64 year old Sherwood res- ident was found laying on a snow bank behind the Util- ity Building shortly before 6:00pm. He was discovered by Gem staff member Daniel Mullen as he was heading into the building for a meet- ing.

“I checked for breathing but there wasn’t any”, said Mullen. “Then I went in to get Security”

An ambulance was called and the man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospi- tal. He was pronounced dead on arrival. Ambulance atten- dents said they thought Mr. Fleming had suffered a heart attack.
