Over the weekend, the Second Saints travelled to the Air Force base at Summerside to play the boys in*blue in a regular city League contest. The first trip to the base resulted in a loss for the Red and White lads and this was a repeat performance.

Ever since the Saints’ surprise win over the Summerside Aces, things have been popping in the realm of skates, sticks, and ice. In keeping with the league sche- dule, A. J. MacAdam took his charges to the . Charlottetown Arena to meet the Navy Tars on Tuesday evening. During the con- test, marked by poor officiating (so we are told), several inci- dents occurred which were not conducive to the mental well be- ing of the University boys and their coach.

With the score reading 9-3 in the third period, a small distur- bance took place on the ice, and one or more of the Navy men left the players’ bench to join the fun. When this was protested by Coach MacAdam, and when the officials refused to penalize the offending players, A. J. calm- ly ordered his boys to leave the ice. That was that.

As far as we know, the game has been awarded to the Navy and the Saints still rest secure in the knowledge that they are capable of defeating the best. as was proven last Friday. CITY LEAGUE

Sports on this level have been limited to hockey and, despite this fact, everyone seems to be get- ting enough éxercise. Competition is keen and several players of superior ability, just a notch be- low varsity level, only add to the fun. and excitement of the sport: Here is an invitation to the members of the various classes to get out and support your class teams and see some good hockey.
