Some of the Czechs faced firing squads; others were hanged, the foreign office commentary Dienst Aus Deutschland said.

INJURED IN FALL— Mr. Lorne Kelly, local milk man, received painful injufles when he was thrown from a delivery wagon. The horse he was driving became un- manageable and threw him to the ground. He suffered three broken ribs in the accident.

OUTSIDE HUNTERS HERE — Sportsmen from outside the pro- vince as well as many Islanders were out yesterday in search of Hungarian partridgcs and most of them were able to bag a few of the birds.
