A brief review of farming condi- tlons in 194i might. be in order. The spring seeding was greatly de- layed owing to unfavora l: wsnth- er conditions. For the four grow- ing months there was 8.46 intltcs more rsln and 115 hours less sun- shine than the average for 4i and 31 years respectively. When this committee was ap- pointed. Canadian Airways were op- erating the Air Services between thin Province and the Mainland. Early in April it was learned that. Trans- Canada Air Lines were to take over.

It was first. planned to include Charlottetown in the main line of the Trans-Canada service, so that planes would come through Moncton to Charlottetown and on to ffali x. returning from Halifax through Charlottetown to Mouton. This was later changed to a feeder line, oper- ntlng from Charlottetown through Summcrslde to Moncton and return ‘Pius service was to go into effect. April 15m, and when the proposzd schedule was issued your committee studied it and reported to u Council meeting of the Board. held on April 8th.
