Recently at the close of their mission study on South East Asia they invited their mothers to a mock radio broadcast which con- sisted of a panel discussion where reporting missionaries told of the rhdnges brought about by the Church in the several countries studied .The radio broadcast was followed by a short devotional per- iod and refreshments were serv- -d.

The girls and leaders planned a handicraft project for their next study. Mrs. J. W. Coughlan kind- ly offered her assistance. MONTAGUE UNITED

The C.G.l.'l'. repealed their pur- pose and sang the C.G.l.T. Hymn. Assisting in the service were: Nor- ms Annear, Veronica Taylor. Dorothy Annear. Dorothy MacDon- slti. Wendy Johnston. and Myrna Beck.

The ptealdeot of the W.M.S- wel- comed the group and presented the new members with Affiliation Badges.

This meeting closed by singing. "in Christ There is No East Or West” and the Benediction.

Rev. J. M. Fraser then conduct- ed the very expressive Lanyard ceremony when Veronica Taylor. Norma Annear. Dorothy MacDon- ald and Jill Biaxland graduated into the Senior Group.

The Spiritual. "We Are Climb- lnil Jacob's Ladder". was sung. Ibo the hymn. "God who Touch- est Earth With Beauty" and as a dedication "Just As 1 Am. Thine Own To Be." Refreshments were served by the W.lif.S.

CORNWALL

Cornwall C.G.I.'l'. consists of ten members from a rural community where the girls do not all live near the centre. but inspite of this they have had a successful winter as the following projects would indicate.

At Christmas, they sang carols in several homes of shut-ins and instead of exchanging gifts at their (35.00) to the Hungarian Relief- Later, assisted by the Sigma C. and other young children of the church made a special offering and raised S30. for Dr. Sidney Gil- christ with which he has purchas- ed a special light to be used in his microscope work in his laboratory at Angola. Africa.

During the winter. the group knit many useful articles such as an afghan and head bandeaua with mittens to match. made scrapbooks. Christmas card book- leis and some sewing also collect- ed cloiliing. this was all sent to Hungarian Relief.

Each week a different member of the group visited a shut-in who has been a helpless invalid for years and brings her a treat. The leader of this group is Mrs. R. A. Patterson with Mrs. Walter Greg- or as organist.

The officers are: President, Nor- ma Howard. Vice President. Gall Lowlher. Treasurer, Jeannie Mac- Millan. Secretary. Donna Wilson. Asst. Secretary, Vivian Drake.
