We were so fortunate as to meet some of the applicants for the coaching job and we were very much impressed 8 we have every confidence that.last year's exciting season will be duplicated.

had no way of knowing how much potential she would
be getting from the high schools. The loss of Janet Ellis and Mary Bradley by graduation and the defection“ of Sheri Sterns to the RCMP would leave gaps hard to fill. We just missed the playoffs last year but Barb is quite confident that we will again have at least a contender.-
Soccer Being somewhat on the discouraged side because of
the lack of real news in the other sports we left our visit to Vince Mulligan to the last. We all know that Vince is a man of a few thousand words who will expound on any sub- ject without fear or favour. When we asked him about how his soccer team Would make
out this year he nodded sagely 8 replied:"l am glad you asked me that, in the American Lea- gue it will be the Yankees all the way, ending up the seaSOn with a substantial margin. They have too much talent for the others.We said"No, no Vince, this is about sOCCer...UPEl SOCCER" and he quickly came. back with :“I don't think it really matters who wins the National...the Yankees will take them in four games anyhow 8 a week later every fan will have forgotten who the Yank's oppontnts were.” As we said, if you want a quick, honest decisive answer, Mulligan is the man to go to!
