The result of long observation has led him to this conclusion. viz. that those persons whose powers of assimilation aré enfeebled (no matter from what causc,) must by rapid strides advance towards a diseased state in some ofits varieties.

Premising thus, he begs leave to observe after repeated trials, he is convinced, that, (if there be a specéfic medium for any disease) his chemical Stomachic Mixture approaches the nearest to one ofany he is at present sequaint- ed with.

Itis not necessary here to pomt out the im- portance of keeping the stomach in good order.

It is notnecessary to explain how, by apply- ing a remedy at 0nCe safe and efficacious to those suffering under Dyspepsia, Heart-burn or any Similar affection the complaint disap. pears. .

It Is not necessary to say, why the morning sickness (if‘ present to that degree requiring the aid of medicine) caused by sympathy with other parts of the system, is relieved by the Chemical Stomachic Draught. Nor why it removes indigestion and ofCourse sweetens the breath ; the fact of its givmg reliefin nineteen cases out of twenty, is a suflicient testimony of its merits. . mm It" th,

In cases of Fever, where hot and dry skin, white tongue, and thirst are present, by adding a single grain of the powder of lpecacuanha of three fluid drama (about three tea spoonful? to the Chemical Stomachic Mixture and dilute with tepid water, and taken at intervals of' from three to six hours the most beneficial ef- fects may be expected from it, while toast wa- ter, thin gruel, or any simple diluent drink will accelerate its medicinal effects.

To this Medicine are added 12 Pills, 4 of *whichrmay be taken occasionally going to‘ ,bed ther not only have a gentle aperient effect, but pave actually removed severe pains in the sto- mach, in a short time, and in those Fevcrs where active purges are improper, these Pills are very valuable. '

The Dose of the Chemical Stomachic mixture is, for an Adult. one large table-spoonful, dilu- ted with water, or syrup and water,to be taken in the morning.

_If to the dose of the Chemical Stomachic vixture, diluted as before, a table-spoonful of wine be added, it converts the draught into one of the most valuable sudorifics thatcan be used sin fevers, for this potent reason, it causes dia- phoresis without inducing exhaustion.

Moreover the proprietorpan with confidence recommend this mixture, as one of the best Vermifoges (worm medicines)extant. lt‘a tea- spoonful ofthis Medicine be added to a table- spoonful ofwater, and administered to a child, suspected to have worms, every other morning for eight or ten days. The unpleasant symp- toms attending them, particularly the bad breath, pain in the stomach, irregular appetite

,the short dry cough, and the almost daily f'ever

will vanish. In this respect, the mixture is a

V—Every person taking the first Part will be considered a Subscriber, and ex pected to take at least a double number [orsafter that rate] per week, until th work is completed: to prevent broken copies this condition is indispensable.

VI.—The work will be delivered to Subscribers free of any additional expence, pay able on delivery.

VII.——Each Number will contain 12 pages of letter-press, and each Part 96 pages except those double Numbers, or Parts, which contain plates, where each plat will be considered equivalent to one sheet of Letter-Press : but should the 01 and New Testaments exceed 128 Numbers the overplus will be given gratis Numbers 5 and G, and the succeeding Numbers will be put into Double Num bers for the convenience of delivery, and will contain the. same quantity as tw single Numbers.
