As you already know, this Coun- cil when it was elected, put into effect a new valuation on real property which had been finalized by the previous Council, in an endeavour to iron out inequalities and make this assessment more equitable. The increase in valua- tion in real and personal property for the year 1053. over the previous year was 5282.860.
