On Sunday evening, Oct. 3rd. the Memorial Hall Tabernacle Choir held their first per— formance of the year in the intermural football field behind Marian Hall. The per- formance, under the inspired (by Adam's grivate Stock) direction of Maestro Melvin Bernard, Was well received by the culturally cognizant ladies of Bernardine and Marian.

The highlight of the per- formance, in this critic's -estimation, Was the rousing rendition of "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow" for Offé icer John McEntee for his dogged pursuit around the football field. Other pop- ular songs rendered in this performance were the Schaef- er Beer Jingle, When Irish Eyes Are Smiling, My Little Margie (especially for Bob Hunter), we've Been Working On The Railroad, Goodnight Ladies, and the ever popular Roll Me Over In The Clover.

This years choir features, in addition to Mr. Bernard, 'such seasoned veterans as K. Kauley, Bob McIlhone, Danny McCarthy,Peter Shannon, Tillman Pineau, Paul Rowe, Jack O'Brien, Kenny Jones Brian Zalewski,Bob Gray, the Duke, Charley Gallant,Frank 'Barry, and Ian Pridham.

Added to this fine nucleus are such talented newcomers as Bruce Grass, Brian 0' Shaughnessy, and Andy Pack— ard. Certain members (notab~ ly the proctors) were unable to attend the first per- formance, but will particip- ate in the future. The choir looks forward to a good season, peaking at Winter Carnival, and appreciates your continued support.
